Urgent help
Insurance repairs: we’re on our way.
After a flood, fire or ceiling failure, the repair is only half the job — the other half is paperwork your insurer will accept. We produce itemised written scopes of work, photograph the damage and each stage of reinstatement, and deal directly with loss adjusters where you want us to. The result is a claim that moves, and plastering that matches the rest of the house when it is done.
Limit the damage first.
Work through the steps below before anything else — they’re the difference between a wet floor and a collapsed ceiling. Then call us. Written scopes & itemised quotes for insurers · reinstatement work across Surrey.
What to do right now
- Report the damage to your insurer early and ask whether they need to inspect before strip-out — some policies require it.
- Photograph and video everything before any clean-up: the damage, the cause if visible, and affected contents.
- Keep every receipt — emergency call-outs, drying equipment hire, materials — they usually form part of the claim.
- Get the cause fixed and documented first; then call us for a written reinstatement scope your adjuster can approve.
What we do when we arrive
- Make it safe: pull down anything loose, seal the area off and stop the damage getting worse.
- Find the cause: confirm what brought the plaster down — leak, failed keys, impact — before anything is rebuilt.
- Fix or quote: small repairs done on the spot where drying allows; anything bigger gets a fixed written quote before we continue.
- Leave you covered: photos and a written scope for your insurer, and the room left safe even if the rebuild waits for drying.
When you call us, have this ready
- Location: your postcode and anything useful about access or parking.
- The problem: what you can see — how much has come down, whether it’s still wet, what’s above the room.
- What you’ve done: stopcock off? Room closed up? Electrics isolated? It changes what we load.
- Phone signal: are you reachable? We’ll confirm an ETA by text en route.
